2007 HOLIDAY GREETINGS

2007 Holiday Greetings

Dear Family and Friends,

We hope you are all doing well, and we wish you all Happy Holidays!

Ethan will be three and a half after the New Year, and is now 43 inches tall and weighs 48 pounds. Ethan has started pre-school part-time in September, and is now getting accustomed to the new environment and is really fond of it. Ethan enjoys the school’s program, the teachers, and friends; and will be attending more days after the New Year.

Ethan is the tallest in the class, and even has a taller chair than the rest too. One day Ethan was proudly showing Mommy that his chair was the tallest one there. And as Ethan was vacating the chair to go home, another kid immediately claimed the chair; however instantaneously got pushed aside by another for the ‘honorable’ chair!

Ethan’s teacher also told Mommy that Ethan really enjoyed dancing and was such a good dancer. What the teacher didn’t know was Ethan has been attending modern dance lessons on weekends.

The school recently organized a holiday concert for the little birdies. Ethan joined the classmates in a chorus singing the holiday songs. Ethan also sang solo “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”. It was such an astounding event for us as we watched Ethan singing in front of an audience!

Earlier in the year, on Chinese New Year, we went to the Buddhist Temple. It was the first time Ethan has been to a temple, and was very excited to experience the Buddhist ritual.

Or rather Ethan was having so much fun chasing the cousins around the temple!

In the spring we went to Atlantic City. It was the first time Ethan went on a 3-hour car ride trip and slept away from home. And Ethan behaved really well for the entire trip! Nowadays occasionally Ethan would ask us when we are going on vacation again. We all know that Ethan’s days are full of hectic activities for sure, and so Ethan would need to go on vacation from time to time.

Ethan turned three in July. We celebrated Ethan’s birthday on Independence Day. Ethan’s actual birthday was the day before. On Ethan’s actual birthday we had a smaller ice cream cake, however there was no space in the freezer so we had to put the cake in the refrigerator and it melted a bit. When Mommy brought out the cake Ethan exclaimed: “My birthday cake is crooked!?”

In the summer we went to the Jersey shore. Ethan enjoyed playing with the sand and building sandcastles. The ocean water in Jersey was cold, even in the summer. So Ethan was quite happy just playing on the beach. We have promised Ethan that next year we’ll take Ethan to some place where the ocean water is warm.

In the fall we went pumpkin picking in Vernon. The petting zoo and hay climb were loads of fun. Ethan loved climbing on top of the hay mountain and jumped off and fell down in the hay. We also picked up a nice size pumpkin. However after carried the pumpkin back from the hay ride, we felt the pumpkin was way too heavy so we went home with a smaller pumpkin that’s already painted.

Ethan has been such a blessing. It’s a wonder how fast Ethan has grown and all the new things that Ethan has picked up every day. Ethan has filled our lives with so much joy and love and happiness, and full of amazements.

From our family to yours, we wish you all a Holiday Season and the New Year full of joy, happiness, health, and success.

With Warm Regards,

Ethan  Khanh  Hai
